How to Join NYKFFI / Kite Club

This document outlines the official procedure to become a member of the National Youth Kite Flying Federation of India (NYKFFI) or an affiliated Club, member and other.

All applicants must comply with federation rules and provide accurate information

Step 1: Become a Member
  • All applicants must first become an Ordinary Member.
  • After becoming an Ordinary Member, you may apply to become a Founder Member or a Lifetime Member according to the federation’s rules.
Step 2: Apply Online

Visit the official website: www.nykffi.com
Go to the “Membership” / “Join Us” section.
Complete the online membership form with accurate personal details:

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Address
  • Contact Information (Phone & Email)
  • Occupation
  • Aadhaar Number (if applicable)

4. Upload required documents: Passport-size photograph and valid ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, etc.)
5. Pay the membership fee securely online (₹500/year)
6. Submit the form.

Note: Membership is only accepted via online application. Offline submissions will not be processed Step 3: Membership Approval
  • Applications are verified by the National Committee of NYKFFI.
  • Upon approval, you will receive a Membership Certificate and ID Card .
  • The Membership ID Card can be downloaded from your member portal on www.nykffi.com
  • Membership is personal and must be used only by the approved member according to federation rules.

Our Programs

International Kite Festival Participation – Representing our federation in global kite flying events to showcase talent and build international connections.
National Kite Flying Championship – Annual nationwide competition aimed at encouraging youth participation and promoting excellence in kite flying.
State Level Kite Festivals – Promoting local talent and fostering community engagement through state-level events and competitions.
Youth Kite Flying Workshops – Training sessions designed to teach kite making, flying skills, and teamwork to young enthusiasts.
Training Courses – Advanced programs for beginners and professional kite flyers to enhance skills and competition readiness.
Environmental Awareness Campaigns – Promoting the use of eco-friendly kites and safe manjha practices to protect birds and the environment.
Special Kite Events & Festivals – Organizing unique celebrations that bring communities together and celebrate the art of kite flying.
Other Events – Additional activities to engage, inspire, and encourage kite flying enthusiasts while promoting cultural heritage.

Important Guidelines

1. All information provided must be truthful. Misrepresentation may result in rejection or termination of membership.
2. Membership is personal, non-transferable, and valid only for approved members.
3. Members must comply with all NYKFFI safety, environmental, and ethical rules.

Membership

Founder Member
  • Any individual contributing a minimum donation of ₹11,000 (Eleven Thousand Indian Rupees only)
  • Eligible for selection to National and State Committees based on seniority.
  • Membership may be terminated without prior notice for activities contrary to the Federation’s objectives or interests.
Life Member
  • Any individual contributing a minimum donation of ₹5,100 (Five Thousand One Hundred Indian Rupees only).
  • Membership may be revoked for actions contrary to the objectives of the Federation.
Distinguished Member
  • Individuals recognized for outstanding contributions in art, sports, social service, education, science, youth/women development, environment, culture, or journalism.
  • Nominated by two-thirds majority of the Executive Committee.
  • Required minimum contribution: ₹2,100 (Two Thousand One Hundred Indian Rupees only).
Ordinary Member
  • Any individual contributing a minimum annual donation of ₹500 (Five Hundred Indian Rupees only).
  • Membership termination rights remain reserved with the Founder NYKFFI.
Student Member
  • Students who have completed high school.
  • Applications submitted through National/State/Regional/District/Tehsil/Block Presidents.
  • Annual fee: ₹100 (One Hundred Indian Rupees only)
  • Maximum age limit: 25 years.
Institutional / Affiliated Member
  • Registered organizations, including district societies, state-level organizations, clubs, schools, societies, or non-profit institutions.
  • Annual contribution: ₹5,100 (Five Thousand One Hundred Indian Rupees only).
  • Annual renewal is mandatory for each financial year.
  • No voting rights are conferred to institutional members.
